The Blue Bear community is very active in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, and beyond. In addition to being highly experienced and passionate educators, our teachers - as well as our dedicated staff and board, current students and alumni - are talented, successful professional musicians. Blue Bear is a great place to make connections, and the supportive environment at the school has helped many students hone their skills, form working bands, and forge careers as professional musicians. Blue Bear Band Workshops have spun off practice bands that continue to play together, and some have even turned into regularly gigging bands.
