Lindsey Boullt

Lindsey BoulltFirst picking up the guitar at 21 years old, Lindsey Boullt received his music degree at the University of Texas - Arlington three-and-a-half years later and then graduated with honors from the Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California at the age of 27. His experience has spanned the range and geography of musical genres - from NYC's late '80s hardcore-metal scene to Texas guitar cultures, jazz-world fusion, and the musical avant-garde theater of San Francisco. Now an established guitarist, performer, composer and instructor in San Francisco, Lindsey recently completed a two-and-a-half year teaching stint at the renowned Guitar Institute of Technology.

In June of 2007, he released the 10-song original work Composition, which is receiving critical acclaim. The album features artists such as Mahavishnu Orchestra violinist Jerry Goodman, Dream Theater keyboardist Derek Sherinian, bassist Stu Hamm, and Steve Vai drummer Jeremy Colson. Composition received an artistic endorsement in July 2007 from Walter Kolosky (author of the book Power, Passion and Beauty: The Story of the Legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra): "...if any music is a product of the Mahavishnu legacy... this is it! (with... Zeppelin and Shakti thrown in...). Very enjoyable and well done."

In spring of 2008, Lindsey completed the scoring of the film Adopted. The controversial film was created by Point Made Productions/NYC and released in summer 2008. The trailer for Adopted was a finalist in the Tribeca All Access Film Festival - NYC 2007.

Lindsey's philosophy toward guitar instruction: "Helping to facilitate the true potential and artistic vision of the student is the ultimate goal as a guitar instructor. Combining the foundational aspects of learning a musical instrument (technique, theory, and modern approaches to fingerboard harmony and melody) with the goals and interests of the student, we create a unique, personal and comprehensive course of study. Welcoming students of ALL levels and enjoying the learning that takes place - from the beginning - to the advanced concepts of the professional seeking new motivation."

Lindsey's product endorsements include Tom Anderson Guitars and Two Rock Amplifiers. Visit Lindsey's website at lindseyboullt.com.
