Natalia Bortolotti

Natalia Bortolotti specializes in Pop and Rock vocal styles.  Her approach as a vocal coach is to tailor the lesson to the specific needs of each student.  She believes in creating a relaxed and supportive environment, conducive to creative expression.  She works with singers of all levels, from absolute beginners to accomplished singer-songwriters, applying the techniques they learn to their individual interests and goals.  She often incorporates a karaoke machine as a tool for her students to become more comfortable with performance.

Natalia is also a writer, with a BA in English Literature, which she has parlayed into a passion for lyric writing.  As a songwriter, she has garnered awards and accolades from such industry giants as VH1, Billboard, California Music Awards, John Lennon Song Contest, USA Song Contest, International Song Contest, Song of the Year, West Coast Songwriters, and the Lilith Fair Talent Search.

Critics have described Natalia as a "master of songcraft with the vocal chops to match." She has a "daring vocal range" and a penchant for "hook-filled melodies" and "compelling lyrics."  Touring for over a decade, both in bands and as a solo artist, she has shared the stage with Barenaked Ladies, Dishwalla, Luce, Luscious Jackson, Matchbox Twenty, Sheryl Crow, Train and Third Eye Blind.

Her songs have been licensed for film and television, and have been featured in a number of prime-time television shows, including Boston Public, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, Cold Case, Dawson's Creek, Fox Sports, Joan of Arcadia, MTV's Real World, One Tree Hill, Party of Five and Smallville.

Natalia is currently in the studio writing and recording new material.  She works with a team of award-winning songwriters in Songfellowz, a songwriting and publishing company, which specializes in music for film and television.
