The New Up - Live at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on January 24 and The Stork Club in Oakland on February 8
Described as "trippy new wave" (Chicago Reader) and "smoldering, post-punk-brushed dance-rock" (Isthmus), The New Up will light up the dance floor at Richshaw Stop in their first SF show of 2008. Don't miss this rockin' night of hot local music with Bay Area buzz bands Tempo No Tempo and Man/Miracle plus DJ Funkminsta Fulla (KFJC).

YouTube Contest: Perform at the Grammys
String, woodwind and brass players: you could perform live onstage with the Foo Fighters at next month's Grammy Awards! YouTube is reaching out to unsigned instrumentalists around the world, and invited Blue Bear students and teachers to enter for a chance to perform at the Grammys. Upload a 60 second video of an instrumental solo performance to YouTube, based on the downloadable sheet music for the Foo Fighters song "The Pretender," and click here for more info and guidelines. Submissions are due by January 20.
