Singing for People Who Can't Sing
Thursdays 6-7pm Vicki Burns
You know who you are! But this class will prove you wrong, as you begin to gain control of your voice through simple exercises and ear training. By the end of ten weeks you'll see improvement and enjoy increased confidence. Cost: $205
Beginning Voice
Wednesdays 7-8:30pm Janak Ramachandran For those with car or shower singing experience who want to "break the ice" in a supportive, informative, low-pressure group setting, Beginning Voice will cover breath support and basic technique. Through lots of group singing you'll gain confidence and control over your voice. Cost: $300
More Singing with Vicki Burns
Thursdays 7-8pm
For graduates of Singing with People Who Can't Sing or Beginning Voice, this class offers a chance to expand repertoire, begin to develop a personal style and continue to strengthen the voice.
Cost: $205
Intermediate Voice
Tuesdays 8-9:30pm Vicki Burns
For those with some band, theater or choral singing experience but little or no previous vocal instruction. Sessions will cover the basics of proper vocal technique: breathing and support, warm-ups, developing your range, tone, placement, articulation, etc. There'll be lots of group vocal drills and some individual presentation of songs. Cost: $300
Beginning Jazz Vocals
Thursdays 8-9:30pm Vicki Burns
For any level singer aspiring to sing solo jazz. An exploration of styles, lyrics, delivery and repertoire, this class also includes vocal warm-ups and tips on vocal technique.
Class limit of six Cost: $300
Jazz Vocal Performance
Saturdays 1:30-3pm
Sharman Duran
Eight meetings plus two performances.
In this all-singing class, intermediate to advanced vocalists will rehearse and perform a repertoire of jazz songs with expert piano accompaniment. A bassist will join for the last four classes and a drummer will join the last class leading up to performing at a San Francisco club and at the quarterly Blue Bear Band Showcases with duo or trio accompaniment.

Gospel Choir @ The Well
Mondays 7-8:30pm (Starts April 28) Carmen Marie Coleman
Experience the joy and excitement of singing in harmony. You'll learn and perform inspiring repertoire from traditional and contemporary gospel music. Each class includes instruction on singing in harmony and vocal warm-ups, plus lots of singing with a professional gospel piano accompanist. All levels are welcome who can learn parts by ear and sing in tune. Class meets at the The Well, at the Episcopal Church of St. Mary the Virgin at 2325 Union St.

Band Workshops
Student bands organized by the school. Groups arrange and play songs by a variety of artists and groups, and at the end of the session perform live in a San Francisco club.

Five Week Voice Classes
Vocal Technique with Raz Kennedy
Thursdays 8:30-9:30pm
Five weeks only, starts May 1
A member of Bobby McFerrin's Voicestra, Raz is best known for his coaching of many Bay Area bands including Adam Duritz & members of Counting Crows, Tim Armstrong of Rancid, Mark Eitzel, Noelle Hampton and Shana Morrison. Raz emphasizes vocal conditioning, stamina and maintenance.
Cost: $140 ($50 non-refundable deposit)
